In 2022, we bought this fantastic quinta in São Bartolomeu de Messines. A charming medium-sized village, somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of the Algarve coast.
After 2 years of extensive renovations, we have opened our doors to anyone looking for peace, sun, and a nice place to spend their vacation. We are excited to share our paradise with you.
Paulo was born in Mozambique but is originally from Portugal. In the Netherlands, he worked as a welder in a shipyard and joined a moving company when we relocated to Portugal. He is also a handyman around our house, making sure that everything always looks perfect. On top of that, Paulo is a true BBQ master! He organises cosy BBQ evenings, which guests can sign up for and enjoy delicious dishes prepared on the grill.
Gerdien is Dutch and has done some wandering in Europe, from the Netherlands to Switzerland, Italy and finally to Portugal. Among other things, she worked as a representative in promotional gifts and as an intermediary at a temporary employment agency. Gerdien loves being around people and enjoys creating a warm, social atmosphere. Another passion of hers is inspiring people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and she likes preparing delicious smoothies for her guests to start the day right.
Our pets are like our children
Upon arrival, you are welcomed by our dog Diana, often accompanied by our cat Sammy. Those two are real buddies. We also have cat Saar, young cat Mickey and three chickens.
Diana, Sammy and Mickey are all adopted and 1 of the chickens was actually caught by Sammy as a chick, but we were fortunately able to save it.

Our mission is to give our guests an authentic experience and the feeling of home.
The realisation of our dream
The journey to find our perfect paradise began with a dream: the desire to create a place for ourselves and our guests, where we could escape the daily hustle and bustle and enjoy the welcoming environment and tranquillity of the Portuguese countryside.
In 2022, we bought this beautiful property in the Algarve. After nearly two years of renovations and overcoming the necessary challenges, our guesthouses are now fully ready to welcome you.
We once started by renting out two rooms in our house in the Netherlands, where we discovered our passion for hospitality.
We had incredibly busy jobs in the Netherlands and little time to enjoy life. With this dream, we aim to change that.
